At the November 30 reception, the Lao President spoke highly of the delegation’s visit and congratulated Nhan on his election as VFF President, adding that he hopes Nhan, in a new position, will continue to make greater contributions to national construction and foster the special Vietnam-Laos friendship and comprehensive cooperation.
(VOV) – Choummaly Sayasone, General Secretary of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party and State President has received a high-level delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland (VFF) Central Committee led by its President Nguyen Thien Nhan.
VFF President Nhan congratulated the Party, Government and people of Laos on their 38th anniversary of National Day (1975-2013) and expressed confidence that the Lao people will gain even greater renewal achievements under the leadership of the Laos People’s Revolutionary Party.
Nhan briefed the Lao General Secretary on the results of cooperation between the two fronts and the outcome of talks between the two delegations.
He also affirmed Vietnam’s determination to elevate the Vietnam-Laos relations to new heights.
The same day, on behalf of President Truong Tan Sang, Nhan presented the Vietnamese Party and State’s Independence Order, first class to President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Phaduongchit Vongsa and Independence Order, second class to LFNC Vice President Tongdotho.
In addition, other friendship orders, medals and insignias were also awarded to LFNC officials for their significant contributions to national construction and defence and special Vietnam-Laos relationship.
