Nhan Dan/VNA - The National Assembly Law Committee has approved the prime minister's proposal to increase the number of deputy prime ministers to five.
The decision was announced during the committee’s November 7 meeting, which was presided over by Chairman Phan Trung Ly.
At the meeting, Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the prime minister’s proposal, which explained the need to have one more deputy PM in the Government (13th tenure).
Under the proposal, the new deputy PM must also serve as Foreign Minister.
