Nhan Dan Online – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan met with Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Li Yuanchao on November 25.
At the meeting, VFF Chairman Nhan, currently leading a Vietnamese delegation to the ongoing Vietnam-China Youth Festival in China, highlighted the achievements made by the Chinese people over the past 64 years, especially in the 35 years of implementing reforms and an open-door policy.
Expressing his pleasure with recent developments in Vietnam-China relations, the VFF Chairman emphasised that the Vietnamese Party, State and Government always attach importance to the neighbourly relationship and comprehensive co-operation with China, the development of which is consistently considered a top long-term priority of the nation’s foreign policy.
For his part, Vice President Li Yuanchao called the Vietnam-China friendship a valuable common asset, adding that the Chinese Party and Government pay special attention to developing the comprehensive strategic co-operative partnership with Vietnam.
He also spoke highly of the Vietnam-China Youth Festival, calling it a significant activity that helps cultivate the friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the young people from the two countries, furthering the friendly and co-operative ties between the two Parties, countries and peoples.
