HA NOI (VNS)—Viet Nam and the Netherlands have signed an agreement on vegetable and fruit cooperation.
Under the deal, the European country will transfer technologies, particularly those relevant to breed selection, management support and improving quality and safety.
Both sides will also cooperate in plant protection and quarantine, supply chain improvement, acceleration of clean production and climate change adaptation.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Dang Khoa said the agreement marked a new chapter in bilateral agriculture cooperation, raising the potential for Viet Nam’s fruit and vegetable sector to improve food security and safety and increase farmers’ income. — VNS
