The new store is located at 137-139 Co Bac Street in District 1 while the two stores opened shortly before are at 189 Le Thanh Ton in District 1 and in Grandview apartment area in District 7.
The number of FamilyMart convenience stores is now 13 and the number is expected to rise to 20 by year-end. Besides, the chain targets to have 42 stores in 1.5 year.
FamilyMart opened the first store on July 30 after parting company with Phu Thai Group Joint Stock Company. Since then, it has opened an average of four stores a month, mainly in the city’s central area.
There are many convenience store brands active in Vietnam, with Shop&Go having some 100 stores, Cirle K and B’s mart having around 50 outlets each, and Mini Stop having less than 15.
