(VEN) – Ha Giang’s authorities are actively cooperating with rural industrial enterprises in local industrial expansion and boosting production through substantial support for the implementation of technical demonstration models and vocational training.
Ha Giang spent most of its industry promotion funds on building technical demonstration models
Ha Giang’s industry promotion budget for 2013 totaled at VND3.965 billion, including VND3.365 billion in national funding and VND600 million local funding. According to Director of Ha Giang Province’s Industry and Trade Promotion Center Nguyen Huu Hai, Ha Giang’s industry promotion activities have greatly improved this year, with 1.5-fold increase in funding compared with last year, with a view to supporting rural industrial businesses expand investment and production.
The center has collaborated with the beneficiaries to deploy four technical demonstration models and five modern production projects, contributing to significantly to improve productivity and product quality.
The center cooperated with Hung Cuong Trading Co., Ltd in developing the organic tea processing technical demonstration model, with total investment of more than VND19 billion (including VND250 million funded by national industry promotion fund). “The project was implemented from January 2013 and has been completed. Currently, the plant can produce three tonnes of dry tea per day and it is expected total revenue this year may reach VND19 billion earning VND2.5 billion in pre-tax profits. Organic tea export prices have also risen from US$2 to US$6.50,” Hung Cuong Trading Co., Ltd representative Nguyen Van Khoa said.
In early October, the center collaborated with Dong A Production and Trading Co., Ltd., in building a tri-layer corrugated iron technical demonstration model, which is currently being implemented, with the first-phase annual production capacity of 100,000 sheets, creating jobs for 50-100 local workers.
The centre also provided consultancy for Thanh Binh Cooperative in Meo Vac District and Tien Thanh Cooperative in Vi Xuyen District in designing packaging and product logos for tea products; and vocational training courses for rural workers in districts of Xin Man, and Hoang Su Phi.
According to Hoang Huu Hai, Ha Giang’s active and efficient industrial promotion supports have helped local companies and production facilities significantly enhance capacity and product quality, and more importantly, encouraged rural industrial facilities to participate in technical demonstration models and benefit from industry promotion policies.
Next year, the center will actively seek out information on technology, equipment, products and markets to advice local production facilities; survey corporate difficulties and obstacles and settle them in time; streamline administrative procedures; increase support for local industry, especially for technical demonstration models, vocational training and the application of modern equipment in production./.
