Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung pushed for stronger cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand and India as he received their ambassadors in Hanoi on December 11.
In a separate meeting with outgoing Thai Ambassador Anuson Chinvanno, PM Dung made it clear that Vietnam is steadfast in its commitment to deepening bilateral partnership for the sake of both sides.
Chinvanno vowed to foster Vietnam -Thailand friendship and cooperation in any position he holds in the future.
Welcoming new Indian Ambassador Preeti Saran, the Government leader expressed hope for strengthened joint work in economics, trade, investment, energy, tourism and defence, among others. He suggested both countries further facilitate all-level visits and support each other at regional and international forums.
The Vietnamese Government will do all it can to help the ambassador fulfill his assigned tasks, he noted.
Reaffirming all possible efforts by the Indian side to bring bilateral strategic partnership to fruition, Saran told his host that there should be a direct air route to make it easier for their people to travel and exchange goods.
He promised to collaborate with relevant agencies to realise agreements reached by the Vietnamese and Indian leaders, as well as act quickly on new joint projects.-VNA
