(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese government and donors have agreed to reform the Consultative Group meeting to make it an open forum, which allowing the attendance of all development partners. The forum called the Vietnam Development Partnership Forum (VDPF) will be held on December 5 in Hanoi, according to the Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh: “The government and its development partners will agree on detailed topics for policy dialogues at the annual VDPF. High on the agenda will be issues that the government gives priority to in its national socio-economic development programs and which the development partners want to support in line with reality and the prospects for effective cooperation with the Vietnamese government”.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung is expected to deliver a statement at this year’s forum, which aims to develop new partnerships and look towards a future of sustainable, competitive and comprehensive development.
