QUANG TRI (VNS)— Border Guard and Customs at Lao Bao International Border gate in central Quang Tri Province found over 70kg of wildlife, including turtle, tortoise and snake, being illegally transporting by car from Laos into Viet Nam on Saturday morning.
The car driver, Vo Van Da, of central Thua Thien Hue Province, told police he had been hired by an unknown person to transport the wildlife from Vientiane for consumption in Hue.
The case is under investigation. — VNS
