The information was unveiled at a two-year review meeting of the company’s sustainable development project nationwide.
“For the last two years, seven million Vietnamese people directly and another 19 million people indirectly have benefited from campaigns to change people’s awareness on hygiene and health,” said JV Raman, Unilever Vietnam chairman.
Over 20,000 residents have approached a financial fund worth VND100 billion.
“From now until 2020, Unilever commits to improve hygiene and healthcare for 20 million local people. The company also pledges to minimize the impacts from manufacturing activities to the environment and help save water, reduce waste and material costs,” Raman added.
