Vietnam-Brazil trade surpasses USD2 billion

Two-way trade between Vietnam and Brazil hit USD2.3 billion in 2013, including USD1.1 billion from Vietnamese exports, according to the latest statistics released by the Vietnam Customs Department.

Other statistics indicate that bilateral trade enjoyed a hefty year-on-year increase of 28%. Vietnam’s imports from the Brazilian market rose 52.5% from a year earlier to USD996.87 million, while its export revenue grew by 11.8% year on year to USD1.08 billion.


The two countries are expected to accelerate their bilateral trade to roughlyUSD5 billion over the next five years, and USD8-10 billion by 2020./.
