The national tourism area, part of the overall scheme of Vietnam tourism by 2020, with a vision to 2030, is a specific cultural area of the Northern Vietnam region.

The scheme aims to define directions for tourism products and the tourism investment and exploitation process, in combination with developing agriculture, forestry and service and preserving natural ecological diversification.

Under the scheme, Ba Be tourism area will strive to attract 300,000-1 million visitors per year with total accommodation rooms of 2,500 and 20 restaurants.

The tourism area will cover 28,337 hectares and is expected to create jobs for about 1,650 workers, once operational.

Completing a transport route to link tourism areas such as Na Hang (Tuyen Quang province), Dinh Hoa and Duom temple (Thai Nguyen province) is included in the scheme./.
