As the Lunar New Year draws near, the capital Ha Noi becomes more glamorous with decorations hung throughout the city. Public lighting company workers hurriedly installed lights in the centre of the city and on major streets, such as Ba Trieu, Hue and Hang Khay, while pots of flowers complement the street decorations.
During the holiday season, increasing numbers of citizens and tourists go downtown to take pictures, especially in the evening when the streets glitter with coloured lights.
