HCM CITY (VNS) — Thanh Do General Hospital, the first international-standard medical facility in the hi-tech Hoa Lam – Shangri La Healthcare Park, was inaugurated in HCM City on Sunday.
The hospital will serve as a prestigious destination and meet demands for health check-ups and treatment, helping ease overloads in medical facilities in major cities, according to Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.
Covering over 2.5 hectares, it has been funded by the Hoa Lam – Shangri La Medical Company, a joint venture between Viet Nam’s Hoa Lam Company and Singapore’s Shangri-La Healthcare Investment Company. The hospital is being run by Singapore’s Parkway Health Group.
The hospital began operations in September 2013 after three years of construction, offering 320 beds and a contingent of over 600 doctors.—VNS
