Jobs for 32,000 laborers targeted

Hai Duong provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs on the morning of 10 January organized the implementation of tasks in 2014.


The whole sector in 2014 endeavors


- to innovate ways of organizing employment exchanges to attract more laborers and enterprises; enhance labor export through effective execution of the labor export project;


- to implement national target programs on employment and labor safety;


- to promote propaganda and dissemination of the labor code to enterprises employing 30 laborers or more in coordination with enhancing inspections to timely grasp the situation and require enterprises to strictly abide by the labor code;


- to develop a network of vocational training organization, especially for rural laborers, in association with inspection and supervision;


- to accurately, promptly grant monthly allowances to people with merits; review remaining, omitted cases for timely settlement;


- to perform activities under the national program on poverty reduction and social welfare policies; execute projects of social assistance, development of the social work profession, care for the elderly, and jobs for the handicapped and the work of child protection and care, gender equality, etc.


The sector also put forward a number of targets, such as creating jobs for 32,000 laborers, exporting 3,200 laborers, providing vocational training for 30,000 people, including around 6,500 rural laborers, raising the rate of trained laborers to 52%.


Efforts will be made for the living standard of 98% of policy households to be equal to or higher than the average level of people in the area and 99% of communes and wards to well perform the work of war invalids, martyrs, and people with merits.
