On January 11, at the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), Mr. Ngo Hoa, Standing Deputy Chairman of the PPC, held a reception for the delegation of Lao PDR on the occasion of their attendance at Vietnam – Laos Conference on Exchanging Religious Issues. The delegation was led by Mr. Somebune Alinha – Head of Department of Religious Affairs of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC). Attending the reception was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Deputy Head of Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs.
At the reception, Mr. Somebune Alinha, on behalf of the delegation, expressed his sincere thanks to the provincial leaders for their warm welcome. According to him, the cooperation between Laos and Vietnam in general and between Thua Thien Hue and Lao localities has been more practical and effective with every passing day in many fields with diversified cooperative forms.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Ngo Hoa acclaimed the visit to Thua Thien Hue of the delegation and introduced them about religion, culture and people of the province. He especially emphasized that the city of Hue has two tangible and intangible cultural heritages and many religious people. In addition, Mr. Ngo Hoa informed some information about the cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and Laos in many fields, particularly education. He hoped that the relationship between Laos and Vietnam would be further tightened and developed.
