Many resettlement areas in the province have completed construction, helping gradually stabilize people’s lives. Many families in the resettlement areas are also finalizing their new houses, shopping for living-things to welcome Giap Ngo Lunar New Year 2014 with a playful, healthy, safe, economical spirit, creating an exciting atmosphere prior to the Lunar New Year.
COZILY WELCOMING TET IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS
The majority of those living in the resettlement areas of Dong Xuan district have stabilized life, many infrastructures have been invested to facilitate local people in economic development. Mr. Vo Trong Nam, Chairman of Xuan Lanh Communal People’s Committee, let known: “Xuan Lanh commune has 8 villages and hamlets with about 2,460 households, including 4 villages and hamlets inhabited by 970 ethnic minority households; currently, more than 1,370 poor households and about 230 nearly-poor households residing in the commune. Recently, more than 17 tons of rice for hunger relief has been supported by the province; nearly 700 gifts by enterprises, social organizations to help the poor in the commune, ensuring no hunger-household in the coming Tet”.
In the resettlement area of Ma Voi village, Duc Binh Tay commune (Song Hinh district), many new homes have been nicely built to timely welcome Tet. Ma Voi village’s resettlement area is 7.6 hectares wide, invested at more than VND 35 billion. According to Duc Binh Tay Communal People’s Committee, about 50 households have, so far, moved to the new area. Implementing the policy by the Provincial People’s Committee of funding for house-construction, Song Hinh District People’s Committee supported VND30 million to each of 21 poor ethnic minority households out of the 69 ethnic minority households relocated to the resettlement area of Ma Voi hamlet, including VND8 million from the provincial fund of deleting temporary-houses for poor households, VND12 million from the provincial funds of preventing natural disasters, VND10 million from the integration capital of the project “Moving people out of flooded areas”. For the remaining households, each was supported VND22 million. The hunger-relief assistance by the State and the presents by social organizations are transferred to people before Tet, ensuring no hunger-household in the district in the Lunar New Year …
PROSPERITY IN THE COASTAL AREAS
Tuy An district has eight resettlement sites, including Hoi Son (An Hoa commune), My Quang Bac (An Chan commune), Phong Lanh (An Cu commune), An Vu and Le Thinh (An Ninh Dong commune), Can Luong (An Dan commune), Gieng Giong (An Linh commune) and Deo Dang (An Thach commune). Mr. Nguyen Kim Long, Vice Chairman of An Ninh Dong Communal People’s Committee, let known: “Currently, the two resettlement areas of An Vu and Le Thinh in the commune serve displacing people in the region were frequently threatened by high tides. So far, the two resettlement areas have allocated land to some households eligible for relocation, however, after the Lunar New Year 2014, the new building is deployed. Mr. Nguyen Phung Ngoan, Chairman of the People’s Committee in Tuy An district, let known: “Organizing to welcome Giap Ngo Tet in 2014 in the district with the playful, healthy, safe and saving spirit has been mentioned, creating an exciting atmosphere during the Lunar New Year. The district has also organized visits, gifts donating and supporting rice to the policy objects and the poor on the occasion of the Lunar New Year in 2014. The task of order and security is also focused and directed to strengthen during the Tet.
Also, in Dong Hoa district, 3 resettlement areas serve relocation for the projects of the road-tunnel crossing Ca pass, Vung Ro oil refinery and the sub-projects 2 and 3 of the
South Coastal Traffic Route
of Tuy Hoa city-Vung Ro. The project of Vung Ro Oil Refinery has made compensation payments for over 121ha of the area for constructing Bai Goc port and 117ha forest of the plant area. The project of the Tunnel crossing Ca pass has, so far, basically completed allocating the ground to the investor for implementing the project’s items, such as resettlement area, duty road, material landfill, operating camps, main roads serving the project … Mr. Nguyen Tai, Chairman of Dong Hoa district’s People’s Committee, let known: “Although the technical infrastructure system 2 of Phu Lac resettlement area (Hoa Hiep Nam commune) and Phu Hiep 3 (Hoa Hiep Trung townlet) has been deployed, many households affected by the projects of Vung Ro oil refinery and the South coastal traffic route of Tuy Hoa city – Vung Ro have move here and stabilized their lives. More than 40 households have moved to Phu Lac resettlement area and about 30 households to the resettlement area of Phu Hiep 3. Here, lots of floor-house have been built, people get excited about new places with relatively completed-infrastructure systems …”.
