(CPV) – Spanish head coach of the national futsal squad, Mr Bruno Formoso has arrived in Vietnam to begin a 3-year contract.
Earlier, Italian head coach Mr S. Gargelli helped the squad confirm its strong position in the international arena, though Vietnam lost Thailand in the final match of SEA Games 27.
After 6 years of development, Vietnam’s national futsal squad now sets a higher target, hoping to rank in top 8 of the region, then further top 4 and winning a ticket for the world championship.
The mission set for the new-comer Bruno Formoso is not easy, including a berth in top 4 of Asia Futsal Championship, then overwhelming Thailand in Southeast Asia. Vietnam now ranks 14th in Asia.
The excellent curriculum vitae of Bruno Formoso helped fans show strong confidenc in him, in which Mr Bruno Formoso was awarded the best coach title of Spanish futsal 2011-2012, then instructing Peru futsal squad and Hangzhou Zhejiang Dragons Chinese club.
As planned, in mid-March, the male national futsal squad will compete at the Asia championship in Ho Chi Minh city of Vietnam.
Besides, Mr Bruno Formoso also leads Thai Nam Son club, the strongest futsal team of the nation./.
