February 22, 2014 – QNK-Quang Nam met Dong Tam Long An at Long An Stadium in the sixth round match of V-league.
Both teams entered the match with a great resolution to improve their rank out of bottom group.
Despite of being the away team, QNK-Quang Nam played confidently right at the beginning of the match. On the contrary, the absence of such key players as Tai Em and Danny David led to Dong Tam Long An’s poor performance.
At the 36th minute, QNK-Quang Nam suddenly scored the first goal when number 10 Yahaya Adamu made the most of the rival defense’s idleness.
At the 61th minute, QNK-Quang Nam Le Hai Anh received the second yellow card and was sent off. Less than 1 player, however, didn’t matter because QNK-Quang Nam had its second goal 8 minutes later thanks to number 7 Dinh Thanh Trung’s shot.
At the 82th minute, the home team got a 11 m penalty kick but Junior failed to kick a goal.
The match ended with a 2-0 victory of QNK-Quang Nam. This result brought the team to the 7th in the overall ranking.
