Every time when spring comes, local people in the whole province are interested in responding to the Tree Planting Festival, which is inspired by President Ho Chi Minh. As a good traditional cultural feature of our nation, it is the start of the annual movement of tree plantation and afforestation.

Responding to Uncle Ho’s appeal of tree plantation and afforestation, provincial leaders, local youth and people attended a launching and planting ceremony on February 7 at Tu Duc Street (between cities of Huong Thuy and Hue).
The launching ceremony has started the provincial movement of tree plantation and afforestation in accordance with the determination of building Thua Thien Hue into an environmentally-friendly eco tourism city. It also contributes to heightening public awareness of tree plantation and afforestation in order to protect environment and minimize influences caused by climate change.
