Japan’s local Tokyo government plans to hold seminars on business and tourism in Hanoi on February 13-14 as part of its first-ever large-scale promotion campaign in Vietnam.
As scheduled, a series of workshops will be held for tourist companies and the business circle on February 13 and for media on February 14, aiming at offering business opportunities and drawing tourists to Tokyo.
According to the Tokyo government, Vietnam boasts an economy with an impressive growth rate in recent years and the number of Vietnamese people travelling to Japan for sightseeing and shopping is increasing.
Therefore, Tokyo will work with travel agencies to provide consultancy on sightseeing destinations in the Japanese capital city, open preferential programmes and facilitate tourist and travel companies and airlines to attract more visitors.
As many 29 Japanese businesses have registered to the Tokyo City Promotion 2014.
A similar programme will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on February 10 for the first time.-VNA
