February 26, 2014 – The PPC of Quang Nam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and KOICA co-organized the kick-off workshop of the provincial green growth plan. Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Hai, PPC Vice Chairman Dinh Van Thu, Chairman of Korea Population and Environment Institution – Proffessor Hoi Seong Jeong attended the workshop.
The workshop was aimed at reaching a consensus on implementing ideas of the national green growth strategy in Quang Nam Province. It was also an opportunity to inspire the green growth project activities through an analysis of the provincial potentials.
Accordingly, the workshop focused on discussing the province’s development issues, pointing out current ecological and economic situation and operational development strategies, collecting detail information and resources related to the formation of the provincial development strategy.
The Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Hai said that Quang Nam Province would cooperate with related agencies in implementing the provincial development strategy project with an eye towards sustainable development and special concentration on local economic development, resource management and social equality.
