This was announced at the city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee’s meeting on March 26th to review the results of the “For the poor” movement in 2013, and work out this year’s plans.

Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Vo Thi Dung, the committee’s Chairwoman, called upon further support from groups and individuals to help the needy improve their living standards, saying that it was essential to duplicate effective economic models for the poverty reduction cause.

On the occasion, the committee presented certificates of merit to 92 groups and 47 individuals for their contributions to the movement last year.
