Bac Ninh province strives to pull over 2,000 poor families out of poverty by late 2014, reducing the poverty rate from 3.42% to 2.5%.

Accordingly, the province will create favourable conditions for poor families to escape poverty, including giving them consultancy in business, breeding and planting, and making available preferential loans from the Bank for Social Policies, the national fund for job creation and other resources.
In addition, relevant agencies will increase job creation for young labourers to industrial zones and parks, and introduce them to vocational training courses to develop trade villages, creating jobs and earning stable income.
Moreover, people, agencies and enterprises will focus on mobilizing capital to assist the poor in building and repairing houses, and fully implementing preferential policies from the Party and State for the poor, helping them stabilise their lives.
According to the provincial poverty reduction program in the 2013-2015 period, each year the poverty rate will be reduced by 1.02%, and the figure is about 2-3% in high poverty areas./.
