VGP – Viet Nam’s bond market set a new record with the highest growth rate of 14.8% among the emerging markets in East Asia, reaching US$29 billion in the fourth quarter of 2013.
The information was released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) when it made public its quarterly report on the Asian bond market.
In particular, the government bond market increased by 15.4%, reaching US$28 billion while the corporate bond market in the third quarter fell down 6.8%, standing at US$700 million.
Emerging markets in East Asia include China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.
