The April 8 forum attracted the participation of 23 Bulgarian businesses operating in the fields of tourism, entertainment, food, wine, information technology, security equipment, electronics and automobiles and nearly 50 local Vietnamese businesses.

The forum was co-organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (VCCI) Da Nang branch (VCCI Da Nang) and the Bulgarian embassy in Vietnam, aiming to connect Bulgarian and Da Nang businesses and promote two-way trade and investment.

Earlier the same day, Danang municipal leaders hosted a reception for the Bulgarian PM during which local authorities committed to supporting and creating the best possible conditions for Bulgarian businesses to do business in the city.

Bulgarian PM Oreshaski emphasized that the active participation of Vietnam and Bulgarian businesses in the event demonstrates that they are very keen on seeking investment opportunities. The visiting PM highlighted Vietnam-Bulgaria cooperative relations over the years and affirmed its policies to expand and strengthen cooperative relations between the Bulgarian Government and the Asian nations including Vietnam.

The host and the guest evaluated the bilateral relations and discussed issues of international and regional concerns, especially specific measures to promote bilateral and multi-lateral relations in the future in the framework of Viet Nam-EU cooperation.

The high-level meetings among leaders in combination with the forum, proves that the relationship between the two countries and businesses has been elevated to a new height. They discussed areas in the framework of a new economic cooperation model, which was approved six months ago, and affirmed to upgrade the relations to strategic partnership in the future and hope to result in positive developments in bilateral relations.
