According to Savills, the average number of occupied rooms in this quarter was 4,800, a 5 percent rise quarter on quarter and a 10 percent increase year on year. Five-star hotels accounted the largest share at 52 percent.

In the remaining quarters, the market will receive 36 projects. In which, 20 projects with confirmed supply will provide approximately 5,900 rooms.

Between the second quarter of 2014 and 2016, five projects supplying approximately 1,300 rooms are expected to enter the market. Three of them are five-star projects with 1,100 rooms at 26 percent of the current five-star stock. All five projects are either under construction or fitting-out, said the property company./.
