(CPV) – Spanish coach Bruno Garcia and his futsal students will begin a 19-day training camp in Spain on April 9 in preparation for the upcoming Asia Futsal Championship.

Mr Bruno Garcia also finalized the national futsal squad roster of 17 players, including 13 athletes from Vietnam’s leading club Thai Son Nam.

The Vietnam Football Federation has invited several Spanish futsal teams (Santiago Futsal Burela Pescados Ruben, O Parrulo Ferrol FS, Cidade de Naròn FS, and O Esteo FS) to play friendly on this occasion.

“My selection is based on his professional and typical tactics. He may be showed off an outstanding performance in a tournament in some locations. However, it is not enough. We need to see a best team, not from individuals. I myself saw around 20 matches from SEA Games, Indoor Games to other domestic tournaments. As many as 3-4 players have won my heart, but they are just for the future”, shared Mr Bruno Garcia.

After returning home, the Vietnam national futsal squad will play its first match with Iraqi rivals on April 30 at the 2014 Asia Futsal Championship. Vietnam expects to qualify for the quarter-final round, aiming to rank top 8 best teams.
