National Steering Committee for Int’l Integration’s operation regulated

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has issued regulations on the operation of the newly established National Steering Committee for International Integration (NSCII).


The NSSCII is in charge of helping the Government and the PM devise directions, strategies and major solutions related to international integration, and suggesting key tasks of international integration in different periods.


It also supports the Government and the PM in directing ministries, ministry-level agencies, Government agencies and People’s Committees of centrally-run cities and provinces to realize international integration policies and address related issues.


The NSCII comprises of a head – PM Dung, deputy heads – Deputy PMs Vu Van Ninh, Pham Binh Minh and Vu Duc Dam, interdisciplinary steering committees’ heads, standing members and other members.


The interdisciplinary steering committees includes a committee for politics, security and national defence, another on economics and the other on culture, society, science, technology, education and training.


The NSCII’s assistant personnel are from the Government’s Office.


Its operation is in line with the democratic centralism principle, in which members raise ideas and the head makes final decision. The members work for the committee along with their current main jobs.


The committee convenes an annual plenary meeting and unannounced meetings are decided by the head.
