He said nations, big or small, rich or poor, need a stable environment for development. Every dispute and conflict needs to be solved by peaceful measures in compliance with international law and with sincerity and trust.

Vietnam is sparing no effort to work together with other nations and partners in that spirit and towards that goal, he noted.

According to him, Asian economies looking towards inclusive and sustainable growth are to suit the common trend in the world.

To seek a new direction and a new development model backed by sustainable growth, creativeness is needed and considered, together with technological renovation, as a driver, Deputy PM Dam said. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also made a speech to initiate the potentials of Asia and show difficulties and challenges the continent is facing and called other nations in the region to strengthen cooperation and accelerate connection between Asian economies through the promotion of free trade agreements in the region. He supposed that peace and stability in the East Sea is suitable for coastal nations’ interests, confirming that China will boost up the consultancy of relevant agencies on the establishment of the Code of Conduct in the East Sea.

Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam said that finding a new direction, a new development model and sustainable growth, it is necessary to renew technology as a main driver.

The establishment of the ASEAN Community, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and other agreements and cooperative mechanisms between Asia and Europe and the Pacific will create a new environment and drivers for development of Asia and its partners, he added.

The four-day forum is expected to discuss issues related to renovation, creativeness and sustainable development. Deputy PM stressed that the future of Asia and its growth drivers are only significant when the environment in the region is peaceful, stable and cooperative.
