The Dien Bien Phu Victory solemnly marked

PANO – These days, army units and localities nationwide have organized various activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.


* Military Zone 7 Command on April 24th organized an exhibition to introduce more than 100 photos, 40 objects, 12 documents and 82 books on developments in the southern battlefields to support soldiers at the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in the north.


Troops and people in the South conducted battles of Quao River in January 1953, Bau Sen in September 1953, and Cui hamlet in March 1954, wiping out thousands of enemy troops and seizing many weapons and military equipment, making great contributions to the victory of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.


The month-long exhibition is a token of gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap – the Commander-in-Chief of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, the Eldest Brother of the Vietnam People’s Army cum eminent General of the nation as well as to those who had sacrificed for national independence.


After the exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, the exhibits will be introduced to troops and people at mobile exhibitions.
