(VOVworld) – A series of volunteer activities kicked off in Dien Bien province on Saturday as part of a 5-day program called “Dien Bien Phu in the hearts of Hanoi youth” to mark the 60th Dien Bien Phu Victory.
40 young Hanoians took part in a wide range of volunteer activities in Dien Bien including providing free healthcare check-ups and medicines for 1000 disadvantaged people of the local communes, and presenting breeding calves for poor households.
They also take part in construction work of a boarding house and playing grounds for the local students, as well as giving them text books and schooling items.
