Nearly 210,000 holidaymakers, including some 40,000 foreigners, have descended on tourist attractions across the central city of Da Nang for the April 30 – May 1 holiday period.

The figure marks a year-on-year rise of 0.25 percent, with nearly double the number of foreign visitors, reported the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
At Bien Dong (East Sea) Park in Son Tra district, a programme from April 30 – May 5 lured travelers with activities including a bikini flash-mob show, a cycling competition and an amateur kayak contest.
Meanwhile, Ba Na Hills resort is offering an experience aboard a mountain train, the first of its kind ever launched in Vietnam, at a discount price of 50,000 VND (2.3 USD) per passenger between now and May 26.
Other scenic spots, such as Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountain), Linh Ung Pagoda, Son Tra Mountain and the Cham Sculpture Museum are also tourists hubs.-VNA
