(VOV) -Vietnamese handicraft, cuisine and cultural colors have won great applause from visitors to the 6th Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Festival, which opened in New York, the US, on May 25.

The annual event aims to introduce American people and international friends to cultural values of countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region, and promote cultural exchange among different nations.
The festival attracted participation of Japan, India, Thailand, Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea, Bangladesh, China, and Vietnam.
The Vietnamese representatives showcased Vietnam’s unique cultural identity and beauty through Ao Dai (traditional women’s long dress), folk dance, handicrafts, and farm produce.
Outstanding performance of traditional music instrument by Vietnamese students in the US received high appraisal from audiences.
Visitors to the festival were also impressed by nice flavour and special style of Vietnamese coffee.
Pham Hue Anh, a member of the festival’s organizing board, expressed thanks for Vietnam’s participation and hoped that the event would help advertise Vietnamese culture in the US and foreign countries.
