Fishermen received supports
In the morning of June 25, in Ly Son Island District, the provincial Youth Union in collaboration with mobilized Board of “Bau oi” Fund, enterprises provided supports for building houses, gifts for pupils, insurances compensatory for damaged fishing boats, died fishermen.
Director of People’s Supreme Procuracy Nguyen Hoa Binh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Van Minh, donors, hundreds of poor households and pupils attended the event.
Accordingly, “Bau oi” Fund and two enterprises supported 18 compassionate houses worth VND 40 million each, 20 cases of fresh milk, 50 insurances for fishing boats worth VND 500 million each.
Besides, PVI paid insurance fees worth VND 300 million for fishing boat QNg 96084-TS of fishermen Nguyen Chi Thanh (the ship was sunk due to burning accident), compensation fee for died fishermen’s family (name Dang Dum) worth VND 50 million.
Binh also offered 800 schoolbags and 8,000 notebooks to 50 poor pupils.
Earlier on June 23, delegation of Dong Thap province’s leaders visited and gave VND 01 billion to 34 fishermen’s families (VND 30 million each) to build gratitude houses.
