Signing the credit contract for Thuong Kon Tum – Quang Ngai

According to the National Power Transmission Corporation, in the afternoon of June 23rd, in the city of Da Nang, Mekong Housing Bank (MHB) and the Management Board of the Central Electric Power Transmission Corporation signed the credit contract to implement the project of “220kV power line Thuong Kon Tum – Quang Ngai”.



The power line is designed in 2 circuits, its length of 76.41 km, passing KonPlong district, Kon Tum province and two districts of Ba To and Mo Duc of Quang Ngai province, with total investment capital of over 471 billion VND.


As planned, the project is expected to start in June 2014 and turn on power in September 2015.


The project investment is to build transmission capacity of Thuong Kon Tum hydropower plant into the national electricity system; to connect the 500kV and 220 kV electrical system of Central Highlands region, contributing to improving power quality, creating links between regions in power systems of Central Region – Highlands as well as the national grid system.
