On June 5, the Quang Ngai provincial People’s Committee announced detailed planning at 1/500 scale oftheSa Ky Fishing Logistics Services Centre with an investment of almost VND1 trillion.

The largest-ever project on fishing logistics services in Quang Ngai will be invested by Vien Duong Construction and Trade Company on an area of 25 hectares at Tinh Ky commune, Son Tinh district.
The project includes closed fishing logistics services such as purchasing, processing and exporting seafood products, building new ships and supplying fuel and food for ships offshore. It will have a seafood processing plant with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes, an ice processing plant with a capacity of 15,000 ice blocks daily, a ship building plant and some fuel supply system and food stores.
Once operational, the Centre will significantly contribute to consumption and processing of seafood for thousands of ships in Tinh Ky and neighbouring coastal areas such as Tu Nghia and Ly Son.
Due to the project, Quang Ngai fishermen will have more opportunities to catch offshore, affirming the country’s sovereignty over territorial waters. The centre is expected to create jobs for thousands of workers in Quang Ngai./.
