Mick Moloney, one of Ireland’s most renowned traditional musicians and musicologists, will come back to Vietnam for a performance in Ho Chi Minh City next week.
The musicologist will return to the HCMC Conservatory of Music, where he performed to Vietnamese audiences one year ago.
The Irish will be accompanied by his fellow musicians including Michelle Mulcahy, Louise Mulcahy, and Athena Tergis, and dancer Niall O’Leary.
The concert will feature Irish traditional music, and also gives audiences a chance to get to know more about Ireland’s folk music instruments like uilleann pipes fiddle, harp, guitar and octave mandolin.
Vietnamese traditional artists will also join the stage, promising to bring local audiences a unique combination of Irish and Vietnamese musical styles.
The concert will take place at the conservatory, located on 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1, at 8pm on June 11.
Free tickets are now available at the conservatory from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm until June 10.
