(VOV) -For the first time, Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) has won the prestigious national press award for online newspaper, with one B prize and one C prize.
According to an official announcement by the 8thNational Press Prize Council on June 16, VOV also earned two top prizes (A) for journalistic works from its broadcasting programme and print newspaper.
The council received 1,665 entries from almost all media agencies across the country – the highest figure since its first began in 2006. The judging panel presented eight A, 27 B, 41 C, and 38 consolation prizes.
The winners will be honoured at an awards ceremony in Hanoi on June 21, to mark the 89th anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day. The ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV1 and VTV6 channels of the Vietnam Television Station.
