Archers compete in boys and girls’ all-round events
The General Department of Sports and Physical Training in collaboration with the Hai Duong Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on the morning of July 14, 2014 opened the 9th National Youth Archery Championship at the provincial Sports Training Center.
The tournament has lured over 100 male and female archers from 15 provinces and cities with developed archery nationwide.
The male and female archers will use recurve and compound bows to vie for 38 medal sets in all-round, individual, team, and mixed doubles events with the distances of 18 m, 30 m, 50 m, 70 m, and 90 m for boys and 18 m, 30 m, 50 m, 60 m, and 70 m for girls.
Hai Duong delegation has three male and four female archers to compete in the distances of boys’ compound, girls’ compound, and girls’ recurve events and strive to win two gold, one silver, and one bronze medals.
Shortly after the opening ceremony, the archers entered the competitions of the all-round event.
The tournament is to end on the afternoon of July 21.
