| Quality of Vietnam cashew nuts is gradually being recognized by foreign customers and has become a favored trademark for consumers from European countries and the United States.
According to Ministry of Industry and Trade, the first 6 months of this year, the whole country exported 133,000 tons of cashew nuts; export value reached 847 million USD, increased 20.1% of volume and 22.1% of value compared with the first 6 months of 2013. With this situation, Vietnam Cashew Association forecasted that 2014 can export 270,000 tons of cashew nuts, with export value of 1,8 billion USD. If adding other items, such as cashew nut shell oil and deep processing products, the export value of cashew nuts of the whole country would be about 2.2 billion USD. Vietnam Cashew Association said that cashew nuts and deep processing of cashew nut products in Vietnam has exported to 40 countries. In which United State is the largest import market of Vietnam, accounting for nearly 40%; European countries accounted nearly 30%, China accounted for 20%, Australia accounted more than 11%. From a cashew nut planting country, Vietnam has been gradually becoming a cashew nut processing nation. This activity brings higher added value for cashew nuts. According to experts, Vietnam’s cashew nuts should be promoted export to the European markets; the products are made from cashew nuts that are gradually popular and preferred here. However, standards for cashew nuts can be imported into this area, are also very high, require businesses to continue to learn all skills and investment, professional, construction, trademark protection of Vietnam cashew nuts. |
