 On July 22, the second Vietnamese low-cost carrier, VietJet Air, officially operated the Da Nang - Can Tho route with three return flights a week by Airbus A320-200. Each flight provides 180 seats with a flight time of 1 hour and thirty minutes. The flight departs from Da Nang at 12 am and arrives in Can Tho at 1.30 pm with the return flight departing at 2 pm and landing at 3.30 pm. Opening the route aims to improve the operations efficiency of Can Tho International Airport, as well as speed up the connection of tourism services and commodity trade between the Mekong River Delta and other localities around the country. It is expected to draw and create opportunities for foreign investors in the region. Currently, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and Vietnam Air Service Company (Vasco) are operating return flights from Hanoi, Phu Quoc and Con Dao to Can Tho International Airport by A321, A320 and ATR72. Can Tho International Airport also receives unusual flights from Taiwan (China) to serve overseas Vietnamese coming to the homeland to celebrate the lunar New Year./. |
