(VOV) -The Prime Minister has approved the establishment of a Vietnam-Japan College under the Vietnam National University in Hanoi.

The college will be constructed on an area spanning 75 hectares at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, at a cost of more than US$365 million, principally funded through official development assistance (US$200 million) and non-refundable aid (13.39 million) provided by the Japan Government.
The remaining funds will come from the Vietnamese government (US$52 million) and donations from Japanese enterprises (US$100 million).
The institution is scheduled to enrol 70 students in its first academic year in 2016 and is expected to have trained 6,000 students, including 2,400 postgraduates, by 2025.
In addition to main subjects, it will also offer courses on the Japanese language and culture.
