Source: Pano feed

PANO – The US’s large-scale chemical warfare in Vietnam in 1961-1971 caused the most catastrophic consequences in history of the mankind. In 10 years, US troops sprayed 80 million litres of toxic substance with 61 percent Agent Orange, over one fourth of the area of South Vietnam, resulting in nearly 26 villages infected with Agent Orange/Dioxin.

The AO/Dioxin has destroyed almost all eco-system in North Central, Central Coasts, Central Highlands, East and West Central regions. Some 4.8 million Vietnamese people are exposed to AO/Dioxin. Notably, many victims are the second and third generations.

Hundred thousands of victims died in pain, other hundred thousands of them have faced fatal illness. A large number of women became infertile and many children were born with deformity.
