PANO – The Navy and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army on August 1st held meetings for young officers.
At the seminar, organized by the Navy in Hai Phong city, in the presence of Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Minister of National Defence cum Commander of the Navy, the participants discussed ways to improve naval troops’ political stance, responsibilities and professionalism to firmly protect national sovereignty over sea and islands, contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern Vietnam People’s Navy.
Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan grants certificates to outstanding young officers of the General Staff in 2014
The organizing panel of the contest on studying the 50th anniversary of the victory in the first battle of the Vietnam People’s Navy (August 2nd and 5th 1964) presented certificates to 36 winners at the event.
The same day, the VPA’s General Staff honored its outstanding young officers in 2014.
Addressing the ceremony, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, asked units to create favorable conditions for young officers to uphold their ability and creativeness in carrying out assigned tasks.
Then, he granted certificates to 22 good examples.
