The Health Department has been required to instruct medical units to prepare manpower, material facilities, equipment, etc. for Ebola prevention and treatment.
The Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee has required the Health Department:
- to instruct medical unitss to prepare manpower, material facilities, equipment, medicines, and chemicals for Ebola prevention and treatment; develop alternatives for reception, treatment, and handling of epidemic hotbeds in accordance with possible situations in case of epidemic outbreak;
- to intensify epidemic monitoring (with special attention paid to the cases coming from epidemic areas), promptly report the suspected cases of Ebola virus infection to the Health Ministry and the Provincial People’s Committee to take timely counter-measures;
- to perform a full range of personal protective measures for medical workers and people exposed to the cases suspected or confirmed to be infected with Ebola virus, not to let the disease be transmitted to other medical workers and patients in hospitals as well as communities.
The Health Department should strengthen epidemic combat and mobile first aid teams to be ready to perform tasks when necessary and organize permanent epidemic combat as prescribed; promptly provide information, messages, and propaganda contents for Ebola epidemic prevention and combat for media agencies, relevant departments, divisions and local authorities to use as propaganda documents.
