A scientific seminar on respiration was held on August 30 in Hanoi and Respiration Association of Vietnam was set up with the participation of over 500 respiratory medical experts.
At the seminar, participants reported over 30 speeches on respiration. The theme of the seminar centered on respiratory intensive care, chest surgery, respiratory diseases among children, lung cancer diagnosis methodologies and treatment.
Medical experts paid attention to reports on update and treatment of stopping breathing while sleeping, hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) or nosocomial pneumonia and ventilator-associated pneumonia, electromagnetic interference from wireless video-capsule endoscopy on bronchi.
On the same day, Eespiration Association of Vietnam voted for the association’s regulations. In the seminar, Professor Ngo Quy Chau, deputy head of Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi was appointed to be the chairman and seven other experts were elected as the association deputies and 15 others were voted as standing members.
