Vietnamese and Lao armies boost cooperation on mass mobilization work

PANO – Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, received a Lao military delegation, led by Senior Colonel Buakham Khumisuc, Head of the Labor Union Board of the Lao People’s Army, on August 5th.


At the reception, the Vietnamese general said that the delegation’s visit to Vietnam would contribute to strengthening the traditional relations between the two countries’ Parties, States, peoples and armies.

He suggested that youths, labor union boards and female officers in the two armies should hold more exchanges in the time to come in order to deepen their defence cooperation.



For his part, the Lao officer briefed the host on the delegation’s working sessions with subordinate units of the General Department of Politics, and affirmed the further cooperation on mass mobilization work between the two armies.


Previously, the Lao delegation held talks with the Labor Union Board of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence. They shared experience in carrying out the political and ideology education, and finance management.
