Right after receiving the official invitation from Andres Aquino, the founder and producer of Couture Fashion Week in New York, designer Vo Viet Chung has prepared thoroughly for a trip that could very well be the next big leap in his career. Therefore, in early September, he will be in New York to cast models, hold meetings with experts in make-up and hair, exchange with the show director about ideas and selecting music for the show.
In order to introduce Vietnamese culture to the world, Vo Viet Chung will introduce to the public at Couture Fashion Week in New York his collection “Miss Beauty of Southern Region.” It is a collection with 30 different styles, made from diospyros mollis – a material native to the Mekong Delta that was forgotten but now revived by designer Vo Viet Chung. Vo Viet Chung show will be at 6 p.m. on September 6, 2014.
“Miss Beauty of Southern Region” debuted one year ago at The Grand – Ho Tram Strip. The special thing about this collection is that all clothes are attached with Royal pearls. Before, Vo Viet Chung attended many different fashion weeks such as: “Mercedes-Benz” Fashion Week” in Berlin, “Asia Fashion Week” in Kuala Lumpur, “J Autumn Fashion Show” in London and the latest is “Vietnamese Cultural Festival” in San Jose, CA (USA). He is also the first Vietnamese fashion designer to be featured on the world-renowned fashion channel Fashion TV.
