PANO – Brigade 84, under the Electronic Warfare Department of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army was conferred with the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order on its 30th founding anniversary on September 19th.
Over the past time, the brigade’s troops surmounted numerous difficulties to fulfill assigned tasks, to ensure communications safety for big events of the nation and strictly maintain the watch and combat readiness.
After handing over the order to the unit, Lieutenant General Pham Xuan Hung stressed that the bridge should continue attaching importance to heightening its troops’ political stance and expertise, effectively managing and using modern electronic warfare equipment, and building strong Party organization and comprehensively strong unit.
The same day, Division 350 of Military Zone 3 was also conferred with the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order on the 60th traditional anniversary.
During six decades of development, the division’s troops fulfilled all assigned missions and were presented with the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” and other noble orders.
In his congratulatory letter, Minister of National Defence General Phung Quang Thanh appreciated the division’s achievements in conducting tasks and asked its troops to continuously beautify the virtue of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, well respond to emulation movements, and carry out the campaign “Learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”.
For its part, Regiment 38 of Division 2 of Military Zone 5 on September 20th also celebrated its 60th founding anniversary. Its troops have gained many glorious feats of arms in the national resistance war against American invaders and in serving the international obligation in Cambodia.
In the peacetime, the unit’s cadres and soldiers have focused on lifting the training quality, implementing the public relations, and helping local people in poverty alleviation movement.
